LIGHT THE WAY

The sessions in Preschool and Primary school are the space in which children have a personal encounter with books, following their own literary interests and becoming familiar with different genres, formats and types of research sources.

The aim is to bring joy and motivation to the student by providing favorable conditions to develop a lifelong reading habit.

The library, through playful and educational workshops, connects future and young readers with themselves and their environment, so that they can develop their thinking, communication, social, self-management and research skills.

In library sessions, we guide students to make the most of the physical and electronic resources the college provides to conduct their research efficiently and securely. Some of the topics covered include:

Differences between searching and researching

Evaluating sources / Identifying reliable websites

How to choose keywords in a research project

How the Dewey System Works

Behaviors that promote academic integrity.

How to identify primary and secondary sources

How to benefit from information from different sources and formats.

We create makerspaces where books are the drivers of knowledge.

In each interactive exhibit, students view the main theme from different perspectives, enriched with multimedia content and hands-on activities.

We work to keep our young readers up to date on award-winning books and those that are trending globally, and to provide you with new spaces where you can share your reading experiences.

With community participation, we are working to make reading aloud a different and inclusive plan in different formats and languages such as English, Spanish, and French.

We make it easy for readers of all genres to meet and exchange their used books and literary experiences.

We also participate in the Book Swap and Used Book Bazaar.
